The Home of Leeds United
Origins
The story of Elland Road begins in 1897 when Leeds United purchased a plot of land on Elland Road in Leeds, England. The land was originally used for cricket and rugby, but Leeds United soon converted it into a football stadium. The first match at Elland Road was played on 15 October 1897, and Leeds United has been playing there ever since. Elland Road has undergone many changes over the years, and it is now one of the most iconic stadiums in England.
