Fever Win First Home Game of the Season
Indiana Defeats Chicago 71-70
NaLyssa Smith Leads the Way
The Indiana Fever finally secured their first home win of the season, defeating the Chicago Sky last night by a score of 71-70. NaLyssa Smith led the Fever with 17 points, while the Sky's Kahleah Copper led all scorers with 22 points.
The game was a closely fought battle throughout, with neither team leading by more than five points at any point during the contest. Despite the Sky taking a 37-34 lead into the locker room at halftime, the Fever came out strong in the second half, outscoring Chicago by eight points in the third quarter. The Fever held on to their lead in the fourth quarter, thanks in part to Smith's 17 points and a key three-pointer by Bria Hartley with just over a minute remaining in the game.
With the win, the Fever improve to 2-3 on the season, while the Sky fall to 3-2. The Fever will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Dream, while the Sky will host the Washington Mystics on Sunday.
